El material resultante es un pol\u00edmero de gran adherencia y durabilidad, utilizado principalmente en la industria del vidrio.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 80%;\"><strong>APLICACIONES<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">El butiral de polivinilo se utiliza como una l\u00e1mina que, gracias a sus propiedades de\u00a0adherencia\u00a0y\u00a0transparencia, es id\u00f3nea para la uni\u00f3n de hojas de vidrio. Permite la transmisi\u00f3n de esfuerzos entre los vidrios, absorbiendo la energ\u00eda derivada de la propagaci\u00f3n de la grieta y uni\u00e9ndolos como uno solo, aunque el propio material carece de resistencia mec\u00e1nica elevada. La l\u00e1mina de butiral se utiliza para impedir el desprendimiento de fragmentos de vidrio si se produce una rotura, por lo que se emplea en vidrios frontales de veh\u00edculos y en vidrios que puedan presentar riesgo para las personas como lo son los empleados en edificaci\u00f3n tales como ventanas, lucernarios, escaparates.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Producci.C3.B3n\"><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 80%;\"><strong>PRODUCCI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Como se ha mencionado con anterioridad el PVB se produce mediante la reacci\u00f3n del alcohol de polivinilo o polivinilalcohol (PVA) con el butiraldehido.
