PARAFORMALDEH\u00cdDO 91%<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

El\u00a0<\/span>Paraformaldeh\u00eddo<\/b>\u00a0(PFA<\/b>) es el m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o\u00a0polioximetileno, producto de la\u00a0polimerizaci\u00f3n\u00a0del\u00a0formaldeh\u00eddo, con un grado t\u00edpico de polimerizaci\u00f3n de 8-100 unidades. El paraformaldeh\u00eddo suele tener un ligero olor a formaldeh\u00eddo debido a su descomposici\u00f3n. El paraformaldeh\u00eddo es un poli-acetal.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>S\u00cdNTESIS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

El paraformaldeh\u00eddo se forma lentamente en soluciones acuosas de\u00a0formaldeh\u00eddo\u00a0como un precipitado blanco, especialmente si se almacena en el fr\u00edo. El\u00a0Formaldeh\u00eddo\u00a0en realidad contiene muy poco formaldeh\u00eddo monom\u00e9rico; la mayor parte de \u00e9l forma cadenas cortas de\u00a0poliformaldeh\u00eddo. Una peque\u00f1a cantidad de\u00a0metanol\u00a0se agrega a menudo como un\u00a0estabilizador\u00a0para limitar la extensi\u00f3n de\u00a0polimerizaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

REACCIONES<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

El paraformaldeh\u00eddo puede ser\u00a0despolimerizaci\u00f3n a gas formaldeh\u00eddo por calentamiento en seco\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>y a la soluci\u00f3n de formaldeh\u00eddo por agua\u00a0en presencia de una base o calor. Las soluciones de formaldeh\u00eddo muy puras obtenidas de esta manera se utilizan como\u00a0fijaci\u00f3n\u00a0para\u00a0microscop\u00eda\u00a0e\u00a0histolog\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n

El gas formaldeh\u00eddo resultante del paraformaldeh\u00eddo de calentamiento en seco es inflamable.<\/span><\/p>\n

USOS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Una vez que el paraformaldeh\u00eddo es despolimerizado, el formaldeh\u00eddo resultante puede ser utilizado como\u00a0plaguicida,\u00a0desinfectante,\u00a0fungicida, y\u00a0fijativo. Los polioximetilenos de mayor longitud de cadena (alto peso molecular) se utilizan como un\u00a0termopl\u00e1stico\u00a0y se conocen como\u00a0polioximetileno\u00a0pl\u00e1stico (POM,\u00a0Delrin<\/i>). Se us\u00f3 en el pasado en el desacreditado m\u00e9todo Sargenti de\u00a0Endodoncia.<\/sup>\u200b<\/span><\/p>\n

El paraformaldeh\u00eddo no es un fijador; debe ser despolimerizado a formaldeh\u00eddo en soluci\u00f3n. En el cultivo celular, un procedimiento t\u00edpico de fijaci\u00f3n de formaldeh\u00eddo implicar\u00eda el uso de una soluci\u00f3n de formaldeh\u00eddo al 4% en\u00a0tamp\u00f3n fosfato salino. (PBS) en hielo durante 10 minutos.<\/span><\/p>\n

El paraformaldeh\u00eddo tambi\u00e9n se utiliza para entrecruzar las prote\u00ednas con el ADN, como se utiliza en el ChIP (inmunoprecipitaci\u00f3n de cromatina), que es una t\u00e9cnica para determinar a qu\u00e9 parte del ADN se unen ciertas prote\u00ednas.<\/span><\/p>\n

El paraformaldeh\u00eddo puede utilizarse como sustituto del formaldeh\u00eddo acuoso para producir el material aglutinante resinoso, que se utiliza com\u00fanmente junto con\u00a0melamina,\u00a0fenol\u00a0u otros agentes reactivos en la fabricaci\u00f3n de\u00a0madera, tableros de densidad media\u00a0tableros de fibra\u00a0y\u00a0contrachapado.<\/span><\/sup>\u200b<\/p>\n
